Introduction

Hello My name is Brooke Preston . I am sixteen years old and I am in the 11th grade . I won't go on too much on what I like to do. I simply enjoy swimming , playing volleyball , and being with my friends. My expectations this school year is to be challenged . By being challenged I will learn to work harder ; working harder carves you into a motivated student. Being motivated can get you a long, long way. I hope that this year's class succeeds in every assignment , test , quiz and etc.

  1. Hello Brooke, My name is Brandon and I was also a student in Mr. Reese's AP English and composition class. I am currently attending his AP Literature and composition class and I am here to give you some advice on being successful in AP English and on the AP test. Let me start off by saying that I was far from the best student in my class, even though I had the potential to be. That being said, my first piece of advice to you would be to always put your best effort into any assignment your Mr. Reese gives you. The more you use your full potential the higher your skills grow and better you get. My second piece of advice will be pertaining to reading, the books you and your class will read are gonna be great stories that cover very interesting subjects. I suggest you get them as soon as possible, and start reading them when you get a chance. It never hurts to read ahead and when you all go back to discuss the chapters as a class you will already know the content and will have a better understanding of the material when you, or if you choose to, read it again. Lastly, I would just advise you to write more often and widely expand your vocabulary. Mr. Reese will give you a vast variety of words that you can incorporate into your arsenal. Try to write a short story everyday or create a series with a cast of characters that go on wacky adventures relating to current events. That is all have for you today Ms. Preston, brilliant introduction by the way; short, sweet, and to the point all around a great introduction into the type of person you are. I am looking forward to the great things you will accomplish. Good luck!
